Data Deletion Policy
Videmak Research AI — Facebook App Data Deletion Policy
Effective Date: 01/01/2025
1. Scope
This Data Deletion Policy applies when you, as a user, link or authorize our Facebook App (via Facebook Login or other Facebook SDK features) and we gain access to your Facebook data (profile info, friends list, email, etc.). It describes how you may request deletion of your Facebook‐connected data, how we respond, and how we notify Facebook that the data has been deleted.
2. What data is covered
When you use Facebook to log in or connect with Videmak Research AI, we may store:
- Your Facebook profile information (name, email, profile picture)
- Your Facebook user ID associated with our app
- Any other permissions you granted via Facebook (for instance, if you grant access to your friends list or other data)
- Any data we generate or store in connection with your Facebook access (such as internal identifiers, tokens, logs)
This policy covers the deletion of the above data when you choose to disconnect the Facebook integration or request deletion.
3. How you can request deletion
You may request deletion of your Facebook‐connected data from Videmak by doing one of the following:
- Logging into your Videmak account → navigating to Account Settings → Connected Apps → Disconnect Facebook.
- Contacting our support at [insert email address] with subject “Facebook App Data Deletion Request”. Please include your Videmak account email and indicate you want all Facebook‐connected data removed.
- If you delete your Videmak account entirely, that includes the deletion of Facebook‐connected data (see also our general Account Deletion/Retention Policy).
4. What happens when you request deletion
Upon receipt of your deletion request:
- We will delete or anonymise all stored Facebook‐linked personal data (as listed in Section 2) from our active systems within 30 days.
- We will invalidate any access tokens or credentials obtained via Facebook for your account.
- We will remove stored logs or metadata that tie your Videmak account to your Facebook identity (unless required to keep them for legal compliance).
- After deletion, we will send you confirmation via email that your Facebook‐connected data has been removed.
5. Notification to Facebook
In compliance with Facebook’s Platform Policies, we will notify Facebook (via the App Dashboard or API as required) that we have deleted the user’s data associated with the Facebook App. This ensures our app remains compliant and that Facebook can update its records.
6. Exception & retention policy
- If you have other linked services (not Facebook) or have stored content/data independent of Facebook login, those are subject to our broader Data Retention & Deletion Policy (see our Privacy Policy).
- We may retain aggregated or anonymised data that cannot be attributed to an individual user for analytical or legal compliance purposes.
- If there are legal obligations (e.g., tax laws, litigation holds) or legitimate business reasons to retain certain records, we may postpone deletion for that subset. We will inform you during the deletion confirmation if any data is retained under legal or regulatory exception, and will specify the retention period.
7. What if you only unlink Facebook but keep your Videmak account
If you disconnect Facebook integration but remain a Videmak user:
- We will remove the Facebook user ID and associated permissions from our systems.
- You may still continue to use Videmak normally (via email/password or other login).
- You must provide an alternative login method if your account currently relies solely on Facebook login.
- We will treat your future activities under the alternative login method without linking to your former Facebook data.
8. Data security & verification
- To prevent unauthorized deletion requests, we will verify that the request originates from the account holder (e.g., via the registered email, login session).
- We maintain appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal data until such time as deletion is effected.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Data Deletion Policy from time to time. We will post a new version on our website and notify users where required by law. The “Effective Date” at the top will reflect when changes take effect.

Suggestions for next steps
- Insert your actual support email, business address, and contact details.
- Ensure that your Privacy Policy references this Facebook App Data Deletion Policy clearly.
- Confirm that your Facebook App settings (in Facebook Developer Dashboard) list a valid “Data Deletion Callback URL” and retention timeframe that matches or is shorter than your policy.
- Review the timeframes: Facebook requires that you handle deletion requests “immediately” or within a maximum of 90 days (check the current Platform Policy). It’s good you commit to 30 days or less.
- Document internally how deletion requests are tracked, verified, and logged.
